A series of black and white photographs showing people dancing together in a natural outdoor setting.

Hi, we're Gabby & Gui

Documentary Wedding Photographers, Film Lovers, & Adventure Aficionados

We fell in love in Miami in the summer of 2022 and photography has been woven into our lives ever since. On the very first night we met, we shot an entire roll of Portra 400 on my Olympus Mju II. We still come back to those photos all the time.

What started as documenting our own story grew into something bigger. We realized our shared obsession with film, light, and real, raw moments could become the way we tell the stories of others. That's how Something Blue was born.

How we work

Intention & Care

We’re all about capturing love. The real, unfiltered kind. The laughter that sneaks up on you, the quiet glances no one else notices, the in-between moments that become your favorite memories.

Most couples aren't totally comfortable in front of a camera at first. That's completely normal and honestly expected. Our job is to create the conditions for real moments to happen, then get out of the way and let them. We want you to be fully present while we document your story exactly as it unfolds, in a way that feels true to you.

For us, this work is deeply personal. Inspired by nature, movement, and the nostalgia of film, we approach every story with care, creativity, and heart. We want your photographs to feel alive. Like art you’ll return to again and again, like heirlooms that will outlast trends, just like your story. Authentic and timeless.

Film is our favorite medium. Whether it's 35mm, medium format, or Super 16 — we can't get enough.

We're obsessed with textures, colors, and the little details that not everyone sees. Even though we're not afraid of vibrant color, we'll always have a soft spot for a beautiful black and white photo.

There's something about shooting on film that changes the energy in the room. You're just living your day. And we're capturing it on something that feels worthy of it.

More than just photos...

We both grew up with cameras always around. Having those images to look back on is something we'll always be grateful for. That's exactly what we want to give you. Photographs that aren't just beautiful, but full of feeling. The kind you'll return to for the rest of your life.

And we don't just stop at the wedding.

The couples we photograph tend to come back. For anniversary shoots, maternity sessions, newborns, family portraits. The relationship we build before and during your wedding day is the foundation for every session after it.

There's something special about working with a photographer who already knows how you move, how you laugh, what you look like when you forget the camera is there. That's what we want to build with every couple we work with.

We want to be your life photographers. Not just your wedding photographers.

We want to know you beyond the lens. Tell us about your love, your vision, and how we can help make this experience as easy, fun, and unforgettable as possible.

With love,

Gabby and Gui
